I've spent most of this week stuck at home with the flu (or the bubonic plague, more likely) and confined to the nest I have constructed in my sofa (blankets, iPad and a large cup of steaming hot tisane), but I guess I that I should nevertheless consider myself lucky to not to have gotten sick until after coming home from France.

Lately, Spring

I was in Paris again last weekend, to visit P. On Saturday, we went for a little road trip to Normandie with a couple of friends to eat mussels on the beach in Trouville, and on Sunday, like always, we had a brunch which took forever to prepare and even longer to eat. Everywhere we went there were colours.

Last Saturday we went for a little walk in Chartres, south of Paris, at sunset... We admired how the light flickered in the stained glass windows of the cathedral and took a million pictures (since buying my new camera in November, I've already shot almost 3000 pictures! Crazy!), before the evening became too cold for walking around bare handed. Then, instead, we went to a cafe to drink a cup of creamy, rich chocolat chaud à l'ancienne and make grand plans for the future.
