Moscow is a very particluar city. So in between, and still so very representative of quite a number of extremes.
I couldn't help but laugh at the t-shirt of a waiter's at the dve palochki where I had my mandatory-for-when-I'm-in-Russia philadelphia lunch maki. "Edinstvennaya beda Moskvyi v tom, chto ona so vse storon okrushena Rossiei". The only flaw of Moscow is that she is surrounded by Russia. Rightie-o.
